Worship with us Sunday at 8:15 and 10:45
Online and On Campus
Contemporary Cantata this Sunday
Sunday morning our Praise Band, with a few special guests, will perform their annual Christmas cantata during the Contemporary Service. The cantata will be performed live and will also be streamed on Facebook and at HFUMC.org.

Our traditional service will go on as normal at 8:15 in the Sanctuary with the third part of our Advent series, Return of the King, and a message of hope for the religiously weary. If you missed lasts week's message, you can watch it at here.
Traditional Christmas Cantata
This year's Traditional Christmas Cantata will be held Sunday, December 20, at 8:15 am in the Sanctuary during regular service. The program will be a mixture of live and pre-recorded performances. It will also be streamed on Facebook and at HFUMC.org.

Christmas Eve Services
Thursday, December 24, we will hold several Christmas Eve services for families:
  • 5pm and 7pm will be contemporary services in the gym
  • 9pm will be a traditional, candlelight service in the Sanctuary
  • 11pm will be online only, available on Facebook or HFUMC.org
Great News for Families...
Sunday Morning Nursery is Back!
This Sunday, the nursery will reopen for babies six (6) weeks to five (5) years for the 10:45 Contemporary Service only. The nursery will be located in room 109 of the Main building and will open at 10:15 am. Children can be checked in with Brittany at the kiosk located at the carport entrance. Children’s temperatures will be checked prior to check-in. At this time, only adults will be asked to wear a mask. We ask that parents please stop at the door to drop off and not enter the room unless necessary. We also ask that families needing nursery care please RSVP at this link so we know how many children to expect.
Volunteer Spotlight: Meet the Wares
Mark and Laura Ware have been members of HFUMC for nearly two decades, and over the years they have generously given - physically, spiritually and financially - to help spread the love of Jesus. The Wares have served on countless committees, taught Sunday School, served as Youth coaches, and been leaders in our church’s missions. You might also recognize Mark as one of our resident chefs. He is always ready to fire up a smoker or grill to raise money for those in need. And Laura is a regular Youth coach and helps with their various outreach programs, in addition to the outreach efforts of the church as a whole. Both also serve as Sunday morning greeters.

Perhaps even more inspiring is the commitment to service they’ve instilled in their kids. Prior to the pandemic, Annslee, a sophomore in high school, was in charge of organizing the contemporary offering. She and her younger brother Coby have both served as Acolytes and have assisted in countless missions - from Room in the Inn to Worship Without Walls.

Families like the Ware family are the reason we are able to have the impact we have on our community. Thank you, Mark, Laura, Annslee, and Coby for giving so generously to our church and our community, and using your talents to help us fulfill our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Support for Shalom Zone
The Shalom Zone needs volunteers for its annual Toys for Tots program. Specific times they need help are:

  • Thurs., Dec. 10 from 1pm-3pm & 3pm-5pm
  • Tues., Dec. 15 from 1pm-3pm & 3pm-5pm
  • Wed., Dec. 16 all day & Dec. 17 9am-noon

Volunteers are needed to help register community members, bag toys, and assist families to their cars. For more information or to volunteer, call 615-442-7575.
End-of-Year Giving Update
Sunday, Robin Teal shared a giving update with the congregation during both services. Our church, and our community, have been blessed beyond measure by your generosity this year, despite the pandemic and the financial challenges it has brought so many. She also shared the December goal of $220,000, which includes three great needs: support for our Youth Group, a final push to help community members in need through gifts to our Impact Partners, and December operating expenses.
Our Youth Group was unable to host the annual Pumpkin Patch this year due to the pandemic. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and our finance committee would like to support them with a $10,000 donation.

And so many in our community are hurting - financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Through our Impact Partners - places like the Samaritan Center, Grace Place, and others - we can make sure others in our community have things like a warm place to stay and food to eat. Our goal is to give $20,000 (or more!) directly to our local Impact Partners this holiday season.

If you are able to help, we know that many will benefit. Click the buttons below for all the ways you can give.
