Parenthood is wild; with it comes an unrivaled sense of awe and excitement for our children's futures. At the same time, being a parent can sometimes leave us with this overwhelming sense of inadequacy and fear, much like being in a cage with wild tigers. This week, we'll be looking at scripture for some wisdom and truth in the Gospel for our roles as parents. Join us for Family Circus this weekend! Pastor Faye Stephens will be teaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services; Pastor Nick Cunningham will be teaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

On Sunday, we want to celebrate all women who have been a mother to someone. We will have several areas for a photo opportunity and we have a gift for you, to thank you for all you do each and every day. Happy Mother's Day!

Mission Opportunity

Next Step Needs
From June 3 until August 4, Mt. Horeb will host teams of students from all across the country who will come here, stay in our church building and go out each day to serve in under-resourced communities in Lexington. The Next Step summer staff who will lead them will arrive on May 27th to begin preparing for what we pray will be an impactful summer for all involved. There are several opportunities each summer for us as a church to come along Next Step. We need a couple more people to adopt a Next Step staff member for the summer. This is an easy and great way to show how much we appreciate them and all that they are doing in our community. To learn more about this great opportunity or how to get involved with Next Step, please contact Brittany at [email protected]
