Fence & Deck Connection helps a Boy Scout earn his Eagle Scout Badge
Reid Koutras, a young man currently in Boy Scout Troup 450 in Severna Park, attended the Cisco Center when he was younger. As a way to give back, he wanted to replace an old decaying fence that was peeling and chipping around the children's playground at the Cisco Center. Fence & Deck Connection donated all the materials and provided some extra hands to help support Reid's mission to give back to the Cisco Center
as part of his Eagle Scout Service Project. Together, with the help of his fellow boy scout troops, the old fence was taken down and a brand new white vinyl picket fence was installed. We applaud Reid and his fellow Boy Scouts for giving back to the community. We are also proud of our own team of helpers that worked side by side teaching these young men lifelong building skills and giving them a sense of accomplishment.
The Cisco Center is committed to providing positive learning experiences for young children with special needs and their families. ith the water being so easy to access, there is an added risk to the safety of your children and pets.
As such, these homeowners, who recently purchased this waterfront home, were looking for a way
to ensure both their grandchildren and pets were protected against any harm that might befall them due to waterfront access.
As a result, w
e i
nstalled 60 linear feet of premium UltraLox black aluminum handrail with square aluminum pickets. Aluminum railing was the perfect choice for this lovely waterfront home because of it's balance of beauty and strength. Aluminum picket railing is strong enough for commercial applications with the elegance for every residential application. The aluminum railing was surface mounted to the existing flagstone porch.
Also included were two gates with lockable key latches. Adding locked gates is a great safety precaution that can help keep young children from accessing waterfront areas on their own.
