ACS Launches Mission: HPV Cancer Free

The American Cancer Society is launching a new campaign to eliminate cervical cancer.

Mission: HPV Cancer Free aims to increase vaccination rates among 13-year-old boys and girls to 80% by 2026. Doing so would prevent an estimated 90% of HPV cancers.

Summer Institute: Multi-Sector Strategies To Achieve A Culture of Health

ASU's Summer Institute will focus on how to integrate healthcare with other sectors for a more comprehensive approach to health. Session topics range from using technology to improve outcomes after addiction treatment to smart justice to preventing intimate partner violence.

Promote Literacy
Libraries Rock: Summer Reading Program

Libraries across the county have teamed up to counter the "summer slide." Get points towards prizes by reading, completing challenges, and attending library and community events. This program is open to children AND adults, so families can rack up points together. 

Prizes include free books, so this also helps readers build up their own libraries at home.



Food Access
Summer Lunch Buddies is Still On

Maricopa County WIC is offering Summer Lunch Buddies from June 4 to July 31. This program provides free, nutritious meals for anyone age 18 and younger--no appointment or WIC enrollment necessary.
