RSDM to Screen Patients for Diabetes

Students will screen patients at risk for diabetes.
RSDM providers will screen patients for diabetes as part of a new early detection program.  Said Dean Cecile A. Feldman, "Each year 27 million patients visit a dentist but not a physician. Many patients seeking care at the dental school are either diabetic or prediabetic but haven't been diagnosed and don't know they're at risk.'' The goal is to train students and screen 500 patients over two years. The program is funded with support from Delta Dental of New Jersey.   LEARN MORE
