Hundreds of birds, that is! Well, okay, maybe just dozens.
This April, thanks to volunteers from Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists, Robbins Park will offer a new home for this native bird species. According to the National Audubon Society, Chimney Swifts are in steep decline, and the chimneys where they roost are rapidly disappearing as old chimneys are capped or torn down. Read more!

T he Cornelius Community Garden, 20708 Catawba Avenue, still has a few garden boxes available for rent. The fee is $50 ($25 may be refundable) and includes a

Get ready for warmer weather - register for the next sessions of these popular classes: 

NEW:  Cornelius Pacers   - Are you looking for a fun, motivated and motivational running group? No matter your experience or level, you can set find your best pace with this group on Monday and Thursday nights for six weeks at Bailey Road Track, starting April 8 .
SKWOD Fit Camp - Tuesday and Thursday evenings for six weeks at Bailey Road Recreation Center, starting April 2.
Senior Fit Club - Monday and Wednesday mornings for six weeks at Fitness by Jeri, starting April 22. 
Tai Chi for Health - Thursday mornings at Town Hall or Saturday mornings at Bailey Road Recreation Center, in eight-week sessions starting April 25 or 27.  

Check out these Drop-in Classes - pay as you go, with no preregistration required:

Does your child enjoy nature? Fascinated by animals and insects? Register now for this new program for ages 7-12. Participants will take part in a weekly field experience promoting being outdoors, observing nature, doing scientific investigation, and practicing environmental stewardship at Robbins Park. Led by Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists. On Tuesdays, April 16-May 21, 6:30-7:30 pm, at Westmoreland Athletic Complex. Get more details and register.

Spring B session begins the week of April 22 for youth and adults. Sign up today!

Join us on Mondays and Thursdays through April 18, 10:00 am-12:00 pm, at Drop-In Art for ages 3 and up. Mixed media projects are adaptable to each age. $5 per hour per child, payable online or at the door. Starting the week of April 22, Drop-In Art will be offered on Thursdays only.

THERAPEUTIC RECREATION
For individuals with a disability, in partnership with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation

Registration remains open for Northern Adventures Summer Day Camp! There will be eight weeks of camps for ages 13-21, with youth and teens each having their own group.
