Telling Your Story
Telling your club and other potential sponsors what you are doing is very important. WASRAG member,John Noonemaker, produced this short video for the Rotary Club of Leavenworth, Kansas so they could see what their donation (in conjunction with Veterans Without Orders) is doing for the small village of Livingston, Guatemala.
Wells for Sri Lanka
Often, the first step in breaking the cycle of poverty for many poorer communities is to provide a clean, sustainable source of water.

The Rotary Club of Whitburn, UK, Rotary Club of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and the non-profit Child Aid Lanka have teamed up, and with the help of a Global Grant and support from many other clubs, have completed the construction of 38 of 53 wells in Sri Lanka. Over 250 families now have access to safe water.
Water Filters for the Dominican Republic
Recently a diverse group of Rotarians from the Rotary E-Club of WASH, Rotary District 7780 and Rotary District 7820 joined forces to complete a Global Grant from The Rotary Foundation that included an extensive evaluation of the effectiveness of Kohler Clarity Water Filers installed in the Dominican Republic.

With the support of a Global Grant, the Rotary Club of Delhi Ashoka, India, Rotary Club of Box Hill Central, Australia and World Vision India teamed up to make this excellent video on the WASH in Schools project.

World Vision and the Water Institute at University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill have released a significant evaluation on the status of WASH in 14 countries.
Making a Difference in Colombia
The Rotary Club of Weston, Florida and the Rotary Club of Bogota Santa Barbara, Colombia, with the support of a Global Grant are working on a project, using a novel and self-sustaining technology to bring safe water to the Wayuu, a native people of Colombia. The PDF in Dropbox provides an excellent overview of the project. You can get information on Phase 2 of the project by going to Aqua para la Guajira Fase 2.

The Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group (WASRAG) is pleased to consider partnerships with any corporate supporter. Due to the unique attributes of water sources and water provision, acceptance of corporate support does not imply an endorsement of any particular water technology. Rotarians, Rotary clubs, and Rotary partners must evaluate any technology to determine if it is the best solution for the conditions where the program will be implemented. WASRAG can provide guidance about where different technologies work best, but Rotarians and Rotary clubs must make the final decision about how to implement their programs.
