HARTMANN STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS: A generous contribution from William K. Hartmann, supplemented by member contributions and matching funds from the DPS Committee, has enabled a limited number of student travel grants to assist participation by early-career scientists at the annual DPS meeting. Travel grants are primarily intended for students, but postdoctoral scientists without other means of support will also be considered. Travel grants rarely exceed a few hundred dollars and are intended to provide a supplement that makes the difference between being able to attend the annual meeting or not. Apply for a travel grant by 12 July . Learn more and apply for a travel grant.

DEPENDENT CARE GRANTS: The DPS's Susan Niebur Professional Development Fund provides financial assistance to qualifying members in order to facilitate their meeting attendance by offsetting costs for child care, elder care, spousal care, etc. at the meeting location or at home during the DPS conference. Apply for a dependent care grant by 15 September .
