Most of us grew up, at least those of us who attended Catholic elementary school, saying the Morning Offering at the start of each day. It goes like this:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians,
and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month.
Amen.
When you feel lost in the midst of this pandemic, the strife of carrying the cross in our daily journey and the struggles of living out your faith more profoundly…perhaps, return to this prayer, throwing up your arms for a spiritual hug and offer “it” up!
Spiritual Reflection: “Offer it up!”
Blessings of love,
Fr. Mark
