HEMLOCK "LITTLE WORLD'S" FAIR
July 17 - July 21
Hemlock Fairgrounds 
 
This annual event takes place from July 17 - July 21 this year, and will have your favorite main events including some new ones! Events include; The Demolition Derby, The Tractor Pull, Monster Truck Mayhem, Horse Racing, and so much more! Rides open daily at 2 PM. Check out the website for daily events schedules.

CONESUS LAKE ASSOCIATION ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
July 21, 10 AM - 5 PM
Long Point Park
 
The Conesus Lake Association is hosting its annual Arts and Crafts show at Long Point Park.  There will be up to 100 top quality crafters, a full food court with chicken BBQ both days. The Alchemy Steel Drum Band will perform at 1 PM on Saturday and the Batavia Swing Band at 1 PM on Sunday. Free parking and admission.

CITIZENS STATEWIDE LAKE ASSESSMENT PROGRAM

Senior Research Scientist Dr. Lewis McCaffrey will discuss the the Citizens Statewide Lake Assessment Program (CSLAP) and its activities on the Finger Lakes. He'll focus on the results from samples taken here last summer and through the winter & more.

THE ROCK GRAN FONDO

Genesee Street, Avon
 
Starting and ending in Avon, The Rock Gran Fondo is on the final day of the American Rock Salt Race Series and runs in conjunction with the road race. Fondo riders line up and finish at the same start line as our racers as they embark on three different course options. All rides feature the historic horse farms of the Genesee Valley Hunt, Conesus Lake and a rest stop at Deer Run Winery.

In this introductory level workshop, participants will learn the proportions of the face in three dimensions, and practice by creating a quick self-portrait. Open to all skill levels and ages. All materials are provided. Register by July 23rd. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

MOTORCYCLE RUN

Genesee Valley Plaza

Come out and join the fun at this Motorcycle Run to benefit the United Way of Livingston County on July 21. Registration is from 10 AM - 10:30 AM, kickstands up at 11 AM. The run will depart and return to Wegmans Geneseo at 4287 Genesee Valley Plaza. Refreshments provided in the AM and lunch provided at the end of the run.

HOOPING FOR EVERYBODY

Children will learn all about hula hooping with performer Benjamin Berry. Mr. Berry will explain the secret to finding the perfect size for a beginner hoop, demonstrate how to build and connect hoops, followed by the audience choosing their colors, tapes, and materials to decorate the hoop.

Did You Know About...

APOG ARCHITECTURAL SCAVENGER HUNT

APOG (Association for the preservation of Geneseo) has put together an Architectural Scavenger Hunt for anyone interested in the details of the classic homes of the Historic District of Geneseo. Copies of the free booklet of photos of the architectural elements are available at Sundance Books, Touch of Grayce, and the Wadsworth Public Library. All of the design elements are clearly visible from the public sidewalk.
 
The deadline is September 20, 2018. The grand prize is $250. The winning entry will be announced at the September 22 APOG Wing Fest. Stroll the village streets, enjoy the summer weather, and test your powers of observation!

  Lima Crossroads Festival is the annual community celebration sponsored by the Village of Lima and the Lima Crossroads Council. This year the festival will be 3 days of fun. Starting with a Blues Festival that runs Friday, August 3 - Sunday, August 5, with a day of fun family activities all day Saturday, August 4.
