Greetings!

In the next 1,440 minutes, we want to do something big. With your help, we hope to raise $10,000 to train up and transition our next three service dogs in training to working service dogs.

Our supporters are the reason why MSD-WCP can do what we do. We wanted to express our gratitude and share what some of these generous donations have enabled us to accomplish this year.

#GivingTuesday is here! We have been highlighting each day a donation story that hopefully gives you a small look into what we do at MSD-WCP. No matter big or small, all donations make a huge impact in the lives of our service dogs, their handlers, and the mobility-disabled community.

Gratefully yours,
Janie Heinrich

Giving Tuesday - Featuring Donor “C” and Sir Baldwin! ⠀
✨ With Donor C’s donation of $30, we were able to supply a special leash that can attach to a wheelchair, allowing Sir Baldwin and his handler to safely navigate the world. ⠀

Giving Tuesday - Featuring Donors “S and D” and Edison! ⠀
✨ Because of Donors S and D’s generous donation of $1,500, we were able to pair Edison with a specialized trainer to learn medical alerting for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) to help keep his handler safe. This course was invaluable, and enabled Edison’s handler to be able to graduate high school this year and be accepted into college!⠀

Giving Tuesday - Featuring Donor “T” and Monty! ⠀
✨Because of Donor T’s generous donation of $200, we were able to purchase a working harness and martingale collar for Monty, allowing him to continue his next level of training. Monty’s tasking skills are refining and he will soon be transferring to his forever Service Dog Handler. Adjusting to a working harness is an important step for service dogs in training as they wiggle into the comfort and joy of putting on their “adventure vest”! ⠀
🐩You can help us continue to provide the necessary equipment and training for amazing poodles like Monty, who will one day become a part of an incredible Service Dog Team. From now until 12/1, you can donate by visiting the link in our bio or texting “PAW” to 44-321.
Giving Tuesday Featuring Donor Dr. L and our pups Layla and Yogi!⠀
✨ Donor Dr. L donated $5,000, covering the cost of 5 weeks with a professional service dog trainer, allowing our SDiTs Layla and Yogi to transition from their Puppy Raiser to Service Dog Trainer. Yogi and Layla are currently with their puppy raisers, learning how to be well-adjusted and well-rounded dogs. Their puppy raisers teach them basic manners, provide obedience training, and encourage overall learning both at home and out on the streets. When Yogi and Layla are ready, they will transfer to a professional service dog trainer and start their next stage of training and learning advanced tasking that is personalized for the needs of their future forever handler. ⠀
