Stop Waiting to be Ready

I know a lot of people who look at celebrities and people who are successful, in business, and wish they could be like them.

They watch them on television and dream of living the life they see on the screen. Most people, however, do not realize that the people they are watching were not "successful" when they started. They believed they were successful long before society thought they were ready for such a title.

The mindset, of most people, is they think they need to be ready before they will be successful. The successful, however, believe they must do what most people choose not to do in order to be successful.

Time and time again I read about successful people who get up before everyone else. They read more books than anyone else. They stay in shape more than anyone else. They work harder and longer than anyone else. They do all this before society grants them to title of "successful."

The successful believe there is not moment of being ready to be viewed as successful by others. They believe that their, daily, habits create a mindset that pushes them beyond the reach of most people which leads to the title, by society, of being "successful."

It is essential that you choose to invest time with people who have an incredible work ethic. It, still, amazes me how much inspiration appears as you are doing the hard work that most people refuse to do. Inspiration does not happen without perspiration.

The few, in society, have a burning passion to be the best.

Inventor Nikola Tesla wrote, "Had I some difficult task before me which was exhausting I would attack it again and again until it was done. So I practiced day by day from morning till night. At first it called for a vigorous mental effort directed against disposition and desire, but as years went by the conflict lessened and finally my will and wish became identical."

Author Tim Fargo writes, "Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today."

The professionals...the successful do the hard work, daily, even when they do not feel like doing it. Their habits...their personal systems push them to create and maintain the habits to lead them to true success. Their good habits are not based on their feelings.

Author Hector Garcia writes, "One widespread stereotype about people in Japan is that they're exceptionally dedicated and hardworking, even though some Japanese people say they look like they're working harder than they really are. There is no doubt, though, about their ability to be completely absorbed in a task, or about their perseverance when there is a problem to be solved.

One of the first words one learns when starting Japanese lessons is ganbaru, which means "to persevere" or "to stay firm by doing one's best."

Japanese people often apply themselves to even the most basic tasks with an intensity that borders on obsession. If you go to Japan, you'll experience this attention to detail firsthand in almost every transaction."

You will never become "ready" to be "successful." You become "successful" long before you feel like you're "ready."

Most people, rarely, see the pain...sleepless nights...self-doubt...regret...tears...frustration...wanting-to-quit-time-and-time-again...of those who are viewed as "successful."

Make no mistake, the majority of people believe they have to wait until they're ready to be successful. The few...the very few believe there is no point of being ready. They do what most people refuse to do so they can live a life that most people refuse to pay the price to live.
