BREWSTER DAY CAMP          Newsletter    July 8, 2018        Vol. 36 Issue 12

Hello Brewster Day Camp!

Camp affords children the opportunity to CREATE a myriad of memories, feelings, and beliefs. To CREATE is to bring something into existence, or to leave one's mark on the world. Our CREATIONS come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and they all reflect something about us.

As I observe each activity at BDC, I see CREATIVITY everywhere! Everyone is a CREATOR; the campers, the counselors, the young, and the old. Last week at camp, campers CREATED music while learning to play the ukulele at STAR; Xander helped the campers CREATE teamwork using elements of our low ropes course at BDOC; the Camper Leaders CREATED good spirit for all by helping to decorate the BDC activity bus for the Orleans 4th of July Parade, and the list goes on and on... At each activity at BDC, we CREATE opportunities to challenge ourselves, be CREATIVE, and think outside the box.

This Friday is Creative Arts Day! Local artists will join our outrageously CREATIVE staff and together we will CREATE and learn with BDC campers all week. Let the CREATIVE juices flow this week at BDC or wherever you are. I challenge us all to CREATE something new and think outside of the box!
