The traffic signal work that was originally scheduled to occur on the overnight hours of Saturday has been rescheduled to occur on Sunday night.

This will include a temporary signal shutdown starting on Sunday, July 8 at 4:00 p.m. and ending on Monday, July 9 at 6:00 a.m. Flaggers will be on site during this time to help direct traffic.

Neighboring Project

Starting today, road improvements will begin on Memorial Drive SE, between McCarthy Road to Mt Vernon Road. Traffic impacts will include lane reductions on Memorial Drive, closure of McCarthy Road at Memorial Drive, and lane closures on Mt Vernon Road while work is underway.

The project includes new pavement surface, water main, storm sewer, and intersection improvements at Memorial Drive and Mt Vernon Road. The project also includes repaving Mt Vernon Road between 26th Street to Memorial Drive.
