Around the Diocese...
Planned giving: Interested in learning about what other churches are doing?
Several congregations have expressed an interest in adding planned giving to their stewardship program or conducting a one-time planned giving program. Planned giving is the opportunity for parishioners to remember their parish churches in their estate plans. If your congregation has such an interest or has conducted a planned giving event in recent years, please contact Terry Reimer, Canon Missioner for Finance and Stewardship, at treimer@episcopalmaine.org.
Please indicate if you or your congregation would like to participate in a diocesan network devoted to planned giving, stewardship, or both.
Gathering information of churches with contemplative prayer practices
Members of the centering prayer ministry at St. David's, Kennebunk, seek to learn of other congregations that offer centering prayer practice or any other contemplative offerings. If your church or ministry would like to be a part of an exploratory conversation, please email Suzanne Robinson at opraise@his.com with times, dates, and locations of your current practices as well as contact information.
Once the information has been collated and organized, they will be back in touch to set a mutual gathering time for centering prayer and further conversation about future collaboration.
