Hope Summer Repertory Theatre

Hope Summer Repertory Theatre will open the fourth production of its 47th season, "An Iliad,"   a modern-day retelling of Homer's classic. Poetry and humor, the ancient tale of the Trojan War and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience. The lone figure on stage is a storyteller - possibly Homer, possibly one of the many bards who followed in Homer's footsteps. She is fated to tell this story throughout history.
"An Iliad" is directed by HSRT's artistic director, Lenny Banovez, who joined the company earlier this year.

Hope Jazz Studies in Downbeat Magazine

The Hope College Music Department's Jazz Studies area was recently covered in the prestigious jazz magazine, DownBeat. The subject was Hope's Jazz Organ Summit, which was headlined by Dr. Lonnie Smith when he appeared as part of the Great Performance  Series. Other great artists took part and it included workshops for Hope students and other participants. Congratulations to our jazz folks for this great recognition!
