Board Member Spotlight: Robert Holroyd
Robert Holroyd, Victory Living Programs' newest board member, has been working with Children's Service Council as the Government Affairs Manager for almost three years. A Broward County native, Robert's main responsibilities include serving as the policy point person for federal, state and elected officials to craft policies that are beneficial for children and families in the state of Florida and Broward County.

Staff Member Spotlight: Sheila Pollock
|
Sheila Pollock, Victory Living Programs' newest Adult Day Training/Community Inclusion (ADT) Program staff member, is a special populations expert. A Brooklyn native, Sheila's love and work with special populations began in 1972 when she began working as a Private School Teacher. Then in 1974, she moved to Florida and started working for the School Board of Broward County as a Teacher's Assistant.

Shout Out to Coastal Wrestling Championship!

For the past few years, clients from Victory Living Programs'
Social and Recreational Program have enjoyed attending the Coastal Wrestling Championship competitions. The wrestlers have gotten to know the folks from Victory Living Programs (VLP) and always make a point of coming over to speak and take photos with them. "The pro wrestling business is something that has brought all walks of life to our shows - it brings everyone together. Thank you to Victory Living Programs for being so loyal to Coastal, it's always a pleasure to have your clients attend our events," said Head Trainer Pablo Marquez.
This past month, the folks from VLP had an additional treat when they had the opportunity to meet Chris Van Vliet, four time Emmy winning entertainment reporter with South Florida's WSVN's famous Deco Drive, who was on-site covering the event.

Sports Update: Bowling, Flag Football & More!
|
Bowling practice begins July 7, 2018 and flag football practice is starting July 20, 2018. If you know someone who is interested in participating in bowling or flag football, please call Bobbi Wigand at (954) 616-1074 ext. 102.
The County Unified Doubles Golf Tournament on June 25, 2018 at Davie Golf Course was a success for the three unified teams that competed. On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, four single golfers participated in a skills competition. Next up is the Area Golf Tournament on July 21, 2018. Good luck to all the athletes who will be participating!
