Join me at this important clean air workshop in Richmond, hosted by the California Air Resources Board. I serve on the board as a Bay Area representative.
This is a great opportunity to work together to improve our local air quality.
The workshop will focus on two important efforts:
The Community Air Protection Program (CAPP) of AB 617, which aims to reduce exposures in communities most impacted by air pollution and
the Study of Neighborhood Air Near Petroleum Sources (SNAPS), a project to improve air monitoring near oil and gas operations.
The goals of these programs include:
Developing a data-driven emissions reduction plan
Reducing community health impacts from air pollution
Using community air monitoring to measure air pollution levels and characterize sources
Involving community members during all phases of the efforts including planning, design, and program implementation
Making data publicly accessible
The evening workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about these important programs, ask questions and provide input.
Your voice is needed!
I'm committed to working with the community to improve our air quality and public health.
