The Word of God inspires and informs our prayers by enabling us to know the heart and mind of God. Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Regional Apostolic Leader Ken Eberly shares a powerful message on "Meditating on the Word." (Psalm 1:1-3) Ken and his wife Betty, who established Behold Your God Ministries in 2008, now preach, teach, and equip throughout the region in the arenas of corporate prayer, biblical unity, knowing God, Christian maturity, and the coming Kingdom. Ken also founded - and is still actively involved with - Reading House of Prayer (RHOP). Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!

Senior Adult Summer Picnic

All Senior adults (62+) are invited to a summer picnic at the Garden Spot Village pavilion on Saturday, July 21, at 5 p.m., rain or shine. You may park your car in parking area #6, adjacent to the pavilion. BBQ sandwiches will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. Registration is not required. Come enjoy good food and fellowship!

Derrick and Jen Garber will share their marriage journey on Friday night and Derrick, who serves as the pastor of Chestnut Hill Mennonite Church, Columbia, will bring the message on Sunday morning.

Marriage Live
,
Cleansing Stream's marriage program and live event, will be offered this Fall at Petra! It will help you take a look at what's working in your marriage, identify the issues that are weakening the bond, and offer info on how to regain lost ground. The study will be offered on Sunday evenings from September 23-October 24, and the event will run on Saturday, November 3, from 9 to 5 p.m. Registration will begin in several weeks.

Men's Breakfast
- All guys age 13 and up are invited for great food and fellowship at Yoder's on Saturday, July 21, at 7 a.m. Dave Stoltzfus will be sharing his leadership journey. Dave owns a business specializing in home transformations. He also serves on the Petra Men's leadership team and in other capacities like Petra STRONG27 and Pure Desire groups.

2018 Petra Cruise In
- Petra Men will be hosting the Ninth Annual Cruise In on Sunday, July 29, from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Enjoy cool cars, trucks, and motorcycles from both the past and the present. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon. Bring the whole family! Admission is free.

Petra Refugee Connect
has several outstanding needs.
Urgent Need
- We are in need of transportation help for two adults to their workplace from Monday - Friday from New Holland to Smoketown, arriving by 6 a.m. A return trip is also needed, departing Smoketown at 3:30 p.m.
Several local refugee families attend our Sunday morning services on a regular basis.
Transportation help
is needed for two of these families.
Learning English
is hard and take lots of practice!! If you are willing to help our local refugee friends with their English, please let us know. ESL experience is helpful but not required.
We are in need of
driving instructors
to help with driving lessons in the New Holland area for young adult and adult learners with no previous driving experience.

Mission Prayer Focus

Chris and April Zimmerman
are Petra missionaries training with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Orlando, FL, and currently on a short-term outreach in South Africa in preparation to serve on staff as part of the launch team for a new YWAM base in Lancaster County. Pray for God’s leading and blessing in this time of training and preparation, and for release of provision as they raise support for their long-term mission assignment.
Chicken Barbecue Fundraiser Meal
- Enjoy some delicious chicken barbecue and more on Sunday, July 15,
at 12:30 p.m. in the Petra Café. Take-outs will be available at 10:30 a.m. The proceeds will go directly toward the living expenses of Arlen and Keturah King, who serve with Missionary Ventures in Orlando, FL.
