LPCC Welcomes New Members

Find out how your business can comply with the ordinance and how to contact BACP for assistance. Representatives from ARISE Chicago, the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, and Women Employed will join with BACP and the City’s Law Department will discuss the rationale behind and impact of Chicago’s Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Ordinance.

We're excited to see some movement towards legalizing sidewalk signs. We have been working with the Small Business Advocacy Council on this issue and are thrilled that Ald. Waguespack (32nd) brought this to the City Council last Thursday.

On June 27, an amended scheduling proposal was introduced into City Council. According to the Illinois Retail Merchants Association (IRMA), this amended scheduling proposal includes an exemption for employers that have less than 50 employees. Click through for more detailed information on the proposal.
