Mid-Year Giving Statements
On June 28, the mid-year giving statements were sent out. Please consider having your statement emailed to you rather then US postal mail. Pledges and those on the email list receive quarterly statements. Thank you for your faithful giving. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Ferry in the church office.

Do You Have Some Time to Donate to Your Church?
We have come up with a list of several repairs/improvements that we feel can be completed by our members. Some of them require experience, but many just require a good attitude and your time. They range from pulling weeds to power washing the walk and benches in the memorial garden. There are two lists posted on the bulletin board outside the church office. One lists items needed for the manse renovation and the other lists items for the annex, the sanctuary building, and the landscaping.
We're not looking to create a buildings and grounds committee. We simply want some volunteers to come out and work on your own schedule for as much time as you have to donate. The church owns much of the equipment needed (a power washer for instance). Please contact Nancy Stout (318-436-9865 -cell) or [email protected] for more information.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
During the months of July and August the church office will be closing at noon on Fridays. Please have all bulletin information in by Thursday mornings.

Church Picnic
The picnic will once again be held at Riverfront Park, Point Pleasant Boro, on August 26 from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
Worship with Communion begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the picnic under the Pavilion. There will be food and games (including the playground). Attached to the Maxson Avenue Municipal Beach, this facility has a beach area that can be used for fishing or crabbing.
We ask that you sign up to bring either an Appetizer, Salad or Dessert. You can email Kerry at [email protected] and let her know how many and what you will bring or look for the yellow sign up sheet in the Narthex.
As in years past, we will make every effort to reach our goal of 100 people to sign up.

AMPED Vacation Bible School - Live Fully Alive!
Next month our exciting VBS program will be here. We have 15 kids signed up but know of a few that still need to register. Please don't delay. AMPED VBS is designed for children who have completed grades K-5 and for preschoolers 3 - 5 years old. Vacation Bible School begins on
Monday, August 13 through Friday, August 17.
Hours are 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday
night August 16th, will be our parent program so mark that date on the calendar. In addition a
Mission Project is planned. We will supply special items for backpacks (i.e. pajamas, pillow pets, pillow buddy, stuffed animal, blanket, child's book) to be given to temporarily homeless children who participate with their families in our Interfaith Hospitality Network. The congregation will also be invited to help with this project too.
Cost: $20 for your first child, $5 for each additional child. You may download the
online registration and return it, with your check, to the church office.
If you'd like to spark your child's enthusiasm to grow in faith over the summer, please register now for this exciting opportunity at Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church!
How Can you help?
Bins are in the Narthex for anyone who wishes to make donations of drinks and individually wrapped snacks for the week. Donations have been slowly coming and we are very appreciative.
In addition, if you know of any teens that are great with kids and willing to help especially in the area of song motions, we would love to have them join us. Service hours for the week can be given out. Teens are asked to call the church office if they can help that week.

Karen Norby's Trip to Uguanda
Thank you to everyone who supported Karen Norby's trip to Uganda with instruments, donations and prayers. It was a successful trip. Karen taught origami to the different classes in the orphanage. The band also put on a show with the donated instruments. Later in the Summer Karen will be sharing more about her trip.
