Panera Bread Opens New Bakery-Cafe on Westheimer

Panera Bread employees
Pastries & Pretty Smiles: A hearty Westchase District welcome goes out to the employees of the new Panera Bread.
Things just got a little more delicious in Westchase District: CityWest Center at 10550 Westheimer Road recently added another retail tenant with the addition of Panera Bread last week.

Panera features freshly-baked breads, pastries and sweets, bagels and spreads, soups, salads, pastas and even breakfast (personally, we're fond of their unique varieties of mac and cheese).

The location features dine-in seating with free WiFi access, a rapid pick-up area, an ordering kiosk and a drive-thru window as well as catering and delivery services.

Panera Bread is open Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The drive-thru window opens 30 minutes earlier in the mornings. For more information, call 713-977-0726.

Farm-tastic Summer Series Continues

The third Thursdays of each month this summer at the farmers market will feature special activities for children and their families. Next up, on July 19, we'll have a free barnyard petting zoo (pet them, pick them up, take pictures with them!) for kids ages 12 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Each child will receive a reusable shopping bag and $2.00 of "Market Moolah" to spend at the market (while supplies last).

Plus, Harris County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions.  So put down the electronics, pack up the family and plow on over to the market on July 19!
