Calvin Partnership Offering

Westminster’s Partnership Offering will be received this Sunday. This offering is used to benefit the Good Samaritan Fund at Calvin Community, our partner in ministry. The fund provides assistance to Calvin residents in need.
Westminster has maintained a close “partnership” with Calvin Community for nearly 50 years. Our Partnership Offering helps to affirm that relationship. Please give generously. Please make checks payable to Westminster Church with “Partnership” on the memo line, or give online at

Eco-Friendly
Communion Cups
|
We are excited to announce that we will now have bio-degradable Communion cups. The cups are made out of corn, produced in Iowa, compostable and biodegradable.

Kids in the Kitchen
Summer Camp
|
Kids ages 3-7 are invited to join in our Kids in the Kitchen Preschool Camp. It will meet on Thursdays July 26, August 2, 9 & 16.

The office closes at noon on Fridays, now through Labor Day weekend.
|
|
Building Closed on Saturdays
|
In the past, the church was open from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Saturdays. To improve building security, the building is closed on Saturday mornings unless there is a scheduled event.

Westminster is a fairly large church with nearly 1100 members. Small groups help bring the church down to a manageable size. We have numerous groups that bring together folks with similar interests.

Book Club's next meeting is Wednesday, July 11,
6:30 p.m. in Simmerman Lounge. July's book is “Aquarium.” (The group usually meets the first Wednesday of the month, but their meeting date has been changed for July, due to the 4th of July holiday)

6:30 a.m., at the Waveland Cafe. During the summer they meet the third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. for dinner at the Windsor Heights Hy-Vee. Their next dinner is July 18.

Men’s Basketball meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in The Commons.
