Midnight Madness

Oakville Children's Festival this Sunday 
Fred Penner, Franklin the Turtle and more!
The grounds of Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC) will be transformed into an arts and culture celebration for all ages and abilities when the Oakville Children's Festival takes place this Sunday, July 8.

This year's event features  performances by four-time Juno award winner Fred Penner, Franklin the Turtle, Ryan Runearth, a world record holding hoop dancer,  award-winning Kaeja d'Dance Company, and musicians Enviro Drum. 

Admission is free and the festival will take place rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A free shuttle service is available to and from the Bronte GO station.
Upcoming events and other information

Sparky's Dog Days of Summer 

Cool off with a trip to the splash pad and a special visit from the Oakville Fire department. Bring the whole family to check out a fire truck, take part in hands-on activities and learn about fire safety. Crews will visit Valleyridge Park on Thursday, July 12 from 6-8 p.m. Visit our website to find out when they will be in a neighbourhood near you. 
Nomination deadline - July 27

If you're considering running for Council or school board trustee the nomination deadline for potential candidates is July 27 at 2 p.m.  We're also looking for people to work on election day (October 22) as assistant deputy returning officers, greeters and tabulator officers. Apply online or in person at Town Hall.

The next Planning and Development Council meeting is on Monday, July 9 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Agenda items include the Sign By-law Review and the Brownfield Community Improvement Plan. Join the meeting in person or tune in to our YouTube channel to watch it live.
