There will be fun for all ages, including a play structure, games, ice-breakers, socializing and fellowship.  Bring snacks and/or non-alcoholic beverages to share, BBQ will be available. (alcohol not permitted in the park)

From Highway 1, take the Bay/Porter exit and turn on to Porter.  Continue on Porter through downtown Soquel, and the Park is on the left side of the road just past the High School.

Open Mic is Happening
This Thursday, April 12,  7:00 to 9:00,
sign-up starts at 6:30

We have a two song format, 8-10 minutes and will start over for a 3rd song if time permits.  Also 8-10 minute spots for magicians, poets, comics, and other performing arts.

UUFSCC COPA Core Team Meeting

Friday, July 20th at 11:00 am in the Gallery

Regular monthly meeting.  We will evaluate our recent Civic Academy on Behavioral Health, get updates on Housing, Immigration, Health Care, etc., plan relational meetings within our fellowship and with COPA leaders from the Monterey UU Church, and work for the success of COPA's 15th Anniversary Convention in September.

Succulent Plants Needed

You may have noticed the new succulent garden on the front patio.  Cheri Callis is the artistic gardener who created this for the fellowship.  Cheri is willing to do another garden in the totem area next to the back patio.  If you have succulent plants to donate, or would like to contribute to the cost of materials, please e-mail Bob at  bates3@sbcglobal.net

Community Organized for Relational Power in Action (COPA)
 
For almost 15 years, COPA has been developing leaders in member institutions, including our own, throughout Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties so that together we can take action on the issues affecting our families. By deepening relationships within and across diverse communities, COPA builds power and works to revive democracy in our region. COPA is currently active in areas of affordable housing, healthcare access, immigration, restorative justice, and behavioral health. UUFSCC is a proud founding member of COPA, and with a revitalized fellowship Core Team we have strengthened our engagement in COPA's direction and actions.
