District 11 Virtual Town Hall: COVID-19 Vaccine
Dear Friends,

The process to receive a COVID-19 vaccination has been off to a rocky start--to say the least. There have been confusing announcements regarding the availability of the vaccine and about how to receive it. And, many residents are still concerned about its safety.

To help clear up some of the confusion, I and my District 11 Teammates--Senator Shelly Hettleman and Delegates Jon Cardin and Lisa Belcastro--have joined wtih the Pikesville Owings Mills Chamber of Commerce to host a Virtual Town Hall meeting for residents of District 11. The event takes place Thursday, January 28 from 7-8:30 pm.

Two experts will provide helpful information and answer your questions about the vaccine. Baltimore County's Director of Health and Human Services, Dr. Gregory Branch, will discss the county's roll-out of the vaccine and answer your questions regarding how to obtain it. Dr. Wilbur Chen, Chief of Adult Clinical Studies at the University of Maryland, will provide information on the development and efficacy of the various vaccines.

To attend, you must register here. You can also submit questions on the registration form. You will be sent a link after you register enabling you to attend the meeting. You can also watch live on our Facebook Page, if you dont' have a chance to register.

If you think of questions after registering, or during the meeting, you can add them to the comment section on Facebook, or email them to D11townhall@gmail.com We wil do our best to answer as many as we can and our offices will follow up with any issues.

The General Assembly Session is closed to visitors and advocates this year due to COVID restrictions, but there are many ways you can participate and watch what's going on virtually. Check out the video tutorials on the MGA website to learn how you can follow legislation, sign up to provide testimony, and watch committee and subcommittee hearings, voting sessions, and debates on the Senate and House Floors--all from the comfort of your own home! No need to travel to Annapolis this year.

I'm proud to represent District 11 in the Maryland General Assembly House of Delegates. If I can ever be of assistance, please contact me at dana.stein@house.state.md.us or call 410-841-3527. My Legislative Director, Margie Brassil, is happy to assist in any way. Please note that until later in session, the office will not be staffed on Mondays and Fridays, due to COVID restrictions.
Sincerely,
