Happy Birthday to our founding Executive Director

In 1974, Interfaith's first program was created when Reverend Don Gebert visited and interviewed families living in The Woodlands. Today, over 55,000 directories are distributed to area residents each August. Rev. Gebert turned 89 in June, and Interfaith is proud to have been pioneered by this great man. We thank Rev. Gebert for building the foundation that we now call Interfaith!

VBS Students create cards for Seniors

Lucy Gomez, VP of Programs, spoke to the VBS children at The Woodlands First Baptist as they prepared to make 500 greeting cards for senior adults in our area. These children opened their hearts to brighten a senior's day, writing to each one with the same love as if writing to their own grandparents.

Serving Our Neighbors

Christ Church United Methodist decided to fill their summer with service, and Interfaith is so glad they did! Teenagers and their leaders from Christ Church United Methodist picked weeds, mowed lawns, laid sod, and brightened our community during a recent Serving our Neighbors project! Our community is better when we serve each other!

Eagle Scout Food Pantry Donation

Moses Ouzounian, a member of his church Scout group,  collected over 1,000 pounds of food to the Interfaith Food Pantry as part of his Eagle Scout project. With help from family and frie nds, he organized the donated food by date and type and generously gave it to Interfaith to address the needs of those in our community.

Each month, Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds more than 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home-bound seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to 185 Seniors in the senior complexes once a month.
