Young people in the world: 
Demographic point of view

- According to the UN report, in 2015 the young people between 15 and 24 are 1.194.500.000. This category forms the16% of the world population which is estimated of about 7.383.000.000.
- 6 out of 10 of these youth are in Asia; 2 out of 10 in Africa, the youngest continent.
- Almost 1 youth out of 10 is in Latin America

Unshakeable Faith from Young Catholic Scots
Storm Hector couldn't shake the Faith of thousands of Scotland's Catholic pupils last week as impromptu Masses were held across the country after the National Schools Mass was ­cancelled due to high winds and transport chaos.  Learn more.

God's Word for All Young People
Our schools in the villages are a great help for them; they are still relevant as means for evangelization. Unfortunately, most of the youth in the villages do not know yet the value of being educated. Their schools are still traditional initiation. For some, going to school is a waste of time and money. One of our tasks as missionaries is to show them the necessity of being educated in this contemporary world.  Learn more.

A Radically Alternative Approach to Immigration 
Pope Francis suggests that the situation of forcibly displaced people is a 'sign of the times.' It is something significant about this point in human history that the Church, here and now, is called to interpret in light of the gospel. It is significant that Francis talks not simply of the fact of forced migration, but of the situation. Scotland: Refugee photographic exhibition to visit all dioceses
Justice and Peace Scotland and SCIAF have worked together to bring this exhibition of refugee photographs and stories to every diocese in Scotland over the next few months. Archbishop Tartaglia launched the exhibition in St Andrews Cathedral, Clyde Street in Glasgow on World Refugee Day, 20th June. During his address the Archbishop spoke of his own roots, as the son of immigrants who fled to this country during World War 1.  See more.
