CRM PRAYS...For Easter Transformation!

The plans have been made. The invitations, postcards and door hangers have been delivered. The social media blitz has been rockin' for a couple weeks. Now it's time to unleash God's power through prayer.  Let's join together as churches and pray for each other and for every church that is celebrating Christ's resurrection this Easter Sunday.
Pray that our attenders will have the courage to invite their friends and neighbors to events that will transform their lives.
Pray that our pastors will preach the Gospel message through the power of God's Spirit.
Pray against the enemy and any schemes he would use to interfere with all God wants to do this week.
Pray that we will all embrace the power of Christ's death, burial and resurrection in new and fresh ways this Easter. Maybe after all the busyness is over, take Monday as a personal reflection day. The message of Easter is the driving force behind all we do in ministry. Let the message settle deep into your heart. What an amazing God we have!

Review:
Together To Transform 2019
"DEEP: Embracing and Unleashing The Power of God's Word"
Despite a bomb cyclone, lots of brave souls still trudged through the snow and wind and had a great time at TTT 2019.  Dr. Mark Strauss challenged us in the main sessions. Eight amazing breakout presenters offered training we can apply immediately. A full room of pastor's wives gathered Friday to be encouraged by Colletta Smith and Julie Thomas. It is the first on many meetings for ministry spouses. Even though over twenty had to cancel, o ver thirty Hispanic church leaders attended the Spanish track with Dr. Juan Hernandez. Both teacher and learners were very encouraged. Equipping Director Keith Kraakevik and Women's Director Stephanie Price were also honored for their ministry with CRM churches.

Approved CRM By Law changes included:
-Changing our legal movement name to "Converge Rocky Mountain"
-The Chair of the Overseer Board will moderate the Annual Business meeting
-Changes to presentation of new business and board nominations were clarified.
-Paul Mitton's title was changed to Regional President/District Executive Minister

The 2019 Board of Overseers
Officers:
Chair: Brad Cave, Cheyenne Hills
Vice Chair: Jim Gilman, Crow Hill Bible Church
Secretary: Dave Forester, Cheyenne Hills
Treasurer: Wendell Geary
Additional Members:
Doug Jacobson, Mission Hills
Mike Phillips, Harbor Church
Kenny White, Cheyenne Hils
Ex Officio:
Dr. Robin Holland
Paul Mitton

2019 CRM Ministry Goals:
Add eight churches
Pilot a new church revision pathway to replace Retool
Transfer to a more cost effective pastor placement program
Activate a micro church strategy
Implement a district funding strategy

Pray that God will inspire us to pursue His desires for our churches and provide the resources to strengthen existing churches and start more churches in the Rocky Mountain West.
Hope Colorado Springs Receives Cornerstone Grant

March 31st Paul and Jan Mitton attended the worship service at Hope Colorado Springs and made an important presentation. The Converge Cornerstone fund has blessed Hope with a $5,000 grant to accompany the $10,000 CRM grant.  Several other partner congregations are also providing funding for this young church making a difference in the Springs. Pray for Pastor Josh and Kelly Allen as they invest themselves in growing the church...and growing their family.

Thirty One Baptized At Catalyst Church!
New churches are the most effective way we have of reaching new people for Christ.  This truth was backed up recently when Catalyst Church, Canon City baptized thirty one new believers!  Pastor Ryan McBride is blown away with how God is moving in his young congregation.  Pray for Ryan and all our planter teams as they grow their churches and build the Kingdom  with new believers.

The Ridge Church is excited to announce the arrival of P astor Geoff ( Deb) Safford as their new lead  pastor.  Pastor Geoff will begin ministry on Easter Sunday. Please pray for this new addition to the CRM family and look for ways to encourage them as they get settled in to life in the Rockies.

Kidwells Retire
Pastor Larry and Dawn Kidwell retired March 31 from Galilee Baptist in Loveland, CO.  The Kidwells began their ministry at Galilee in 2008. Before saying his final farewells, Larry led a beautiful update of the church's sanctuary and had the privilege of baptizing seven Christ-followers. The Kidwells have relocated to Iowa to enjoy a new chapter of life celebrating their children and grandchildren.
