CONNECT WITH PACIFICA
Greetings!

The Thanksgiving holiday is upon us, and this time of year traditionally triggers reflection about what we’re thankful for. The City recently finalized a list of Citywide Accomplishments for Fiscal Year 2108-19 (July 2018 through June 2019). It’s an impressive list. The City Council and I are thankful for all of the dedicated work from City employees, appointed Commission and Committee members, and all the City volunteers who helped accomplish all of these project, program, and service successes. The new Fiscal Year has been off to a fast-paced start on numerous major projects, and promises to be another very productive year. I look forward to keeping you updated through this newsletter and other channels, and getting you involved as much as possible!

The City’s Holiday Extravaganza is just around the corner, as well as the Rockaway Tree Lighting Festival. Check out the info about the 13th Annual Meals on Wheels Holiday Silent Auction. All proceeds from this program provide a memorable and elegant “Night Out on the Town” dining experience at the Community Center for home-bound seniors in Pacifica.

As always, go safely this week and please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica!

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager

Sharp Park Specific Plan – Public Input Opportunities

Work has been progressing on the Sharp Park Specific Plan, which is part of the Plan Pacifica process to establish Pacifica’s vision for the future. Our first product is an Existing Conditions Report, or ECR, which we just released for public review and comment. The ECR describes the Sharp Park area on topics like architectural design, parking, walkability, and historic resources. Preparing the ECR was an important first step to understand the neighborhood’s existing strengths and challenges. Now we need your help to make sure we didn’t miss anything!

The Planning Commission will discuss the ECR on November 18 ( agenda and staff report). You can attend and offer comments on the ECR at the meeting. You can also submit comments online or via email to City staff. Please also take our online survey where you can help us learn more about your experiences in the Sharp Park area using an interactive map.

Provide your input on the ECR and Online Survey by December 8 to help us Plan Pacifica!

  • Grading and trail paving at the trailhead off of Beach and Clarendon Rd. will likely occur towards end of November to mid-December
