Upside Down
Our world is upside down
Nothing seems to be in place.
We have instant communication all around the world
And the wold spins at a frantic pace.
Stop this craziness! We all want peace.
Let's return to a more normal time.
Where people were civil, polite and respectful,
Not shouting and demanding, "This is mine!"
Perhaps that is why we celebrate Easter
And the pure life that One Man led.
He spoke the truth with compassion and love
And we still treasure the Words He said.
"Peace I leave with you,
My peace I give to you;
Not as the world gives
Do I give to you."*
So on this Easter weekend
May we look at that cross anew,
And look to that Man who came and died
To give peace to both me and you.
