Nikki Haley, the Indian-American U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, where the two discussed deepening relations between the two sides, particularly in strategic relations and defense.

TECH LIVE 

Some 96 percent of Indian school girls between 7 and 14 said they want to learn more about technology in school, according to a recent survey conducted by PayPal. More than 60 percent of those surveyed said they pursue their love of tech outside of school.

California Indian-American Congressmen Ami Bera and Ro Khanna won their primary elections and will seek re-election in November. Bera, a Democrat from the state's 7th congressional district (Sacramento County), won 51 percent of the vote. Khanna, a Democrat from the 17th district (Silicon Valley), won 59 percent of the vote.

Tourism Minister K.J. Alphons put on U.S. roadshow to entice American tourists to visit India, with stops in New York, Houston, Chicago and St. Louis.
