And just like that, here we are at Thanksgiving. It's amazing how fast (but somehow, also slow) this year has been. We have experienced new challenges and changes to our everyday lives, and Thanksgiving will surely be different for many of us. We may not be able to gather the way we are accustomed to, but this year one of the things we can be thankful for is the technology that has kept us together. Virtual platforms have not only provided a way to keep our businesses up and running but have also provided a way for friends and families to stay in touch "face-to-face". As we head into this holiday season, and simultaneously into a COVID-19 surge here and around the country, that face-to-face time will be immeasurably important. I've included some links below regarding these services - please feel free to share with family and friends.
Microsoft Teams has announced free all day video connect calls on Thanksgiving.
Zoom has dropped their 40 minute time limit for Thanksgiving.
For me, Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without thanking those that make my work at Long Island Temps so rewarding. Thank you to all of our clients - for not only supporting us during these times, but for supporting all Long Island small businesses. Thank you to our hard-working and reliable temporary employees for always being there when called upon, especially those deemed essential. And thank you to the staff of Long Island Temps for always getting through these times with a smile and can-do attitude. I have a lot to be grateful for.
I've said it before but it bears repeating, especially now... together we are stronger.
Happy Thanksgiving.
