Child Care Aware of NH Updates
CCAoNH is Being Recognized at the 2019 Annual Celebration for Early Childhood Professionals
Each year a group of early childhood professionals are recognized for the work that embodies the spirit of Dr. Mary Stuart Gile by presenting them with the Mary Stuart Gile Award.  The group is selected based on the following elements: 
  • Commitment to increasing professionalism;
  • Fostering leadership and innovation in the field of early childhood education;
  • Helping to prepare the next generation of early childhood professionals; and/or
  • Providing opportunities for professionals to increase their knowledge and skills.
“CCAoNH supports child care professionals statewide through many trainings, cohorts, Leadership Collaboratives and conferences. They go above and beyond the requirements of their contract to help ensure the workforce has many opportunities to access professional development.”

Child Care Aware of NH Staff
Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire has two major goals. We help families find high quality child care and help improve quality in early child care programs through professional development opportunities. It takes a team of dedicated staff to do this work. Meet our Child Care Resource and Referral Outreach Specialists . These are the folks that work with families helping them to find care. Outreach Specialists provide FREE and confidential referrals that are tailored to fit the needs of each individual family seeking child care. Additionally, they provide families with consumer education to assist them in choosing a quality child care program.

Stress in the very young may effect a child's health, behavior, and ability to learn. However, adults can encourage resilience in young children and in themselves. 2019 Provider Information Survey
Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire (CCAoNH) strives to provide providers with high-quality professional development opportunities. Every year, Child Care Aware of New Hampshire sends out an Annual Program Survey. The Survey is a tool we use to assist us in assessing current program services and to inform future planning .

In order for us to best serve you and your program, please take a few moments to complete the 2019 Annual Program Survey. Your feedback is important to us. Answers from the survey questions are used to improve our practices, replicate what has been successful and pinpoint where our focus should be in the upcoming year.

This survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. We realize this is a lengthy survey. However, this survey is what we use to adapt and assess our services, so we can better support you in future planning. The 2019 Annual Provider Survey can be completed one of two ways. The first is electronically, simply slick on the link below to complete the survey. You can also download a printable survey bellow, fill it in and mail it to Child Care Aware of New Hampshire, Attn: Tracy Pond, 88 Temple Street, Nashua, NH 03060.

2019 Provider Information Update
Southern New Hampshire Services, Child Care Aware of NH strives to provide families with high quality child care referrals in New Hampshire. In order for us to best serve families and your program, the information in our database must be current and accurate. 

Throughout the course of the year, CCAoNH provides general maintenance to our program records by updating program information that may change more frequently such as program rates, vacancies, general information, etc. Although these partial updates are important, it is equally important that we receive a full and complete update of all aspects in your program on an annual basis . Your assistance with this is essential. 

We would greatly appreciate it if you would take a moment to complete the 2019 Annual Provider Update Form. 1004 updates were mailed to NH programs on Tuesday, March 12. Below are links to the documents that were mailed: the Annual Provider Letter, Raffle, and Update forms.

Child Care Aware of NH is Hiring
Child Care Aware of New Hampshire is looking for dynamic individuals to join our team.  Are you passionate about the early childhood field? Are you looking to make a difference? Do you want to help families find quality child care and work hand in hand with providers to promote high quality learning experiences for all children? If you answered yes, then Child Care Aware of NH is for you! Check out our open positions below.
A Bilingual Support Specialist:
  • Provides bilingual support services and consumer education for families in selecting child care.
  • Facilitates trainings and provides targeted technical assistance (coaching and mentoring) to early childhood professionals.
  • Assesses each regional area to meet cultural needs and to promote cultural competency.
  • Provides interpretation in second language as necessary. 
  • Position is in the Main Office in Nashua.
Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist:
  • Provides referrals to families seeking child care.
  • Provides consumer education for families in selecting child care.
  • Conducts outreach, advocacy and networking activities. 
  • Maintains the client and provider portion of our database ensuring timely entries, accuracy of information, and quarterly reporting.
  • This is a Statewide position.
Training and Technical Assistance Specialist (2 positions):
  • Facilitates training opportunities.
  • Provides targeted technical assistance (coaching and mentoring) to early childhood professionals.
  • Provides support services and consumer education for families in selecting child care.
  • Facilitates directors’ collaborative group on a monthly basis to promote professionalism and best practices in early childhood settings.
  • This position requires travel.
  • One position based in the Concord Regional office, the other is out of the Northern Regional Office in Tamworth.
