Eggstravaganza Multigenerational Event
TODAY 4:00-6:00 p.m.in Bowman Hall. Come dye eggs and decorate egg-shaped cookies for Easter Sunday egg hunts and fellowship time. Donations of hard-boiled eggs and sugar cookies are needed. Light snacks will be served. 

Annual Spring Cleanup 
Saturday April 20th 9:00- 2:00 pm
We'll trim the grasses and shrubs, spread some fresh mulch, rake and prep the lawns for summer, put up the shade sails and get the patio ready for another season of use. With lots of help, we might even wash a few windows. Any and all help, for any amount of time, will be appreciated.
 
Love in Action 
We're looking to receive remaining pledges for UUFD's coming fiscal year (beginning in July 2019). To fulfill our mission to bring our values to Durango we need all of us.

DAYS FOR GIRLS WORK SESSION  
Wednesday April 24th 1:00-4:00 pm  in Bowman Hall. Create sustainable feminine hygiene kits for school girls in rural Zimbabwe. Sewing and non-sewing tasks are available. Sign up after worship service at Social Responsibility and Justice table or contact  EMAIL TERESA

Conceptual Plans for possible campus expansion
Now available for review in Bowman Hall and online under 'connections' tab, 'long range planning'. Your feedback is essential (in person or online).  You may also sign up for one of 2 discussions: Thursday April 25th 6:00 pm or Sunday April 28th 12:00 pm (with architect) in Bowman Hall.  We want to know your preference and hear your concerns or questions. 

Recital Series 2018-19 
Marilyn Garst will present the final recital on Friday April 26th 7:00 pm. The program will feature Baroque harpsichord music by Rameau and J.S. Bach followed by later piano music by Zwilich, Bartók and Chopin. Visit  INFO
 
UUFD's Annual Meeting Sunday May 19th immediately after the service. 
We will vote on changes to our by-laws, nominations for Board and Nominating Leadership Development Committee members and approve the annual budget for 2019-20.

Four Corners Retreat  
Mark your calendar for our annual retreat July 12-14th. We'll gather beginning Friday afternoon, finishing after worship Sunday noon. Our special guest this year will be Rev. Jake Morrill, Lead Minister at Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church in east Tennessee. Flyer and online registration will be available soon. 

Durango Food Bank
Our March 31st quarterly food drive resulted in 72 pounds of donated food and cash donations of $227, which will purchase between 908-1816 meals for needy individuals and families. Thank you for your generosity!
 
Share the Plate
Our April collection for the Rainbow Youth Center was $1242.50. Our contributions significantly help the Center to provide a refuge of safety and support for LGBTQ youth 13-18. Thank you UUFD!

Circle Suppers  
Potluck dinners are the 3rd Saturday of each month at 6:00 pm (except July and December), for 6-10 people, hosted at homes of UUs, with free childcare available. Guest list and hosts expand as people sign up each month. All is organized via email. For more information or to join,  EMAIL NANCY.

Mindfulness Meditation
Beginning in April. No prior experience necessary. Ages 9-99. Have you ever wanted tools to calm your nervous system and reduce incessant thinking? Drop in anytime.
1st Weds 8:00 am easy stretching, 8:15-9:00 am sitting + walking meditation in Columbine House Children's Chapel.

Needham Elementary 
We continue to collect donations for Needham with dollars going toward individual student needs for winter clothing, school supplies, activity fees etc. Drop donations in the school box on the SRJ table.

The Unitarian/Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) 
UUSC supports human rights and social justice issues around the world. The 35 members and 4 attenders of UUFD provided $1,518 in the 2018 "Guest at the Table" campaign. New Tai Chi Class on Thursdays 11:00 am-12:00 pm in Bowman Hall 
Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as "moving meditation."  It is helpful for joint mobility, balance, bone strength and stress relief. The. group is suitable for beginners or intermediate practitioners. No special clothing or equipment is required and drop-ins are welcome. THE BASIC NEEDS TEAM needs your help at the Manna Soup Kitchen
Volunteers needed to prepare & serve lunch on the 4th Tuesday & 4th Friday
of each month 9:00 am-12:30 pm. Also, volunteers are needed to pick up from Walmart on Tuesday 10:30 am & Friday 9:30 am at north and south City Markets to transport to Manna.  EMAIL MARILYN

I f your Committee, Team or Group is looking to reserve a space for a UUFD meeting/event for 2019, please consider reserving the space soon. First check Calendar to make sure space is available on CALENDAR,   EMAIL JEANNE  and give the following info: name of Member in charge, location, date, start and end time of the meeting/event  - 30 minutes before and after will be added for set up and clean up.

Gentle Flow Yoga
Tuesdays at 10:00 am in Bowman Hall
 A multi-level 75 minute Hatha yoga class designed for beginners to the more advanced students. 
A long warm up, followed by sun salutations, standing and balancing poses, and a cool down incorporating savasana.
