Partnership Sefer Torah Campaign

In conjunction with the ongoing Community Partnership Sefer Torah Campaign, a hands-on demonstration on the making of a Sefer Torah was held for children and adults. Rabbi Betzalel Katkovsky, a sofer, mohel and shochet originally from Minsk is presently living in Northeast Philadelphia and is a member of the Philadelphia Russian Kollel at Congregation Beth Solomon. He enthralled a large crowd  of children and their parents. The presentation covered the various stages of the production of a Sefer Torah, from klaf to ink. the attendees left with a deeper appreciation of the laws of and challenges involved in producing a Sefer Torah.

Please note:  As in past years, the seating for women will be on a first-come first-served basis. In order to accommodate as many people as possible, we will not be reserving seats. There should be enough room for everyone with comfortable seating. In the event that you have special circumstances that require you to have a specific seat reserved for you, please let us know in the comment box below and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Rabbi Moshe Meir Weiss- Rav Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island

HaRav Moshe Meir Weiss, Rav of Agudas Yisroel of Staten Island for the last 33 years, was privileged to be a close musmach and student of Harav Moshe Feinstein, zt"l for over a decade. Rabbi Weiss is a very familiar name in the Orthodox media and has inspired thousands of people around the world through his dynamic shiurim, radio shows, teleconferences and magazine articles since the 1980's. He delivers two Daf Yomi shiurim daily and has over 5000 archived shiurim hosted on the Kol Haloshon global teleconferencing system. Rabbi Weiss packs his day with teaching Torah, reaching men, women and children in New York and around the globe.

After the Kollel Rabbis had a nice short break, they come back with a new excitement and invigoration!
 
The new z'man at the Kollel began last Monday with beautiful sounds of Torah filling the Kollel from early morning until late at night.
 
All Chavrusos and Shiurim have resumed.
