~Highlighted Agency ~

Rebecca Davidson, Division of Families and Children Social Service Administration Caregiver Recruitment and Retention Unit, spoke at the Community Collaborative regarding Dawson County's need for foster and respite care families. Unfortunately, Dawson County's number of children entering foster care more than doubled last year, making our need for qualified foster and respite  families dire. The success rate of children being reunited with their biological family decreases as the distance from "home" a child's foster placement increases. If you are interested in becoming a foster or respite family,  there is an information session the first Tuesday of each month at Forsyth County DFCS, 420 Canton Highway in Cumming. If you would like more information about the fostering process or would like Ms. Davidson to come speak to a church or group you are affiliated with, please contact her at [email protected]. DAWSON COUNTY'S CHILDREN NEED YOU!
