ORMHOF CLASS OF 2018 ANNOUNCEMENT  SET FOR JULY 11

The ORMHOF Board of Directors has voted to change the By-Laws to allow an increased number of inductees to be considered each year.  Previously, a minimum of three and a maximum of five inductees could be considered. The new By-Laws allow for a maximum of seven inductees in any one year.  To be inducted, a nominee must still receive votes from a minimum of two-thirds of the Voting Committee members.

"We have a number of excellent nominees waiting in the wings," chairman Mark McMillin said, "and this change will allow us to recognize them sooner, rather than later."

A Voting Committee comprised of sixteen industry professionals and five members of the ORMHOF Board of Directors has selected the Class of 2018 from a field of 54 nominees.

The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2018 will be announced on July 11.  The ORMHOF 2018 Induction & Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, October 29 at the South Point in Las Vegas.

Also on display are several Hall Racing trophies, the Checker's Vic Van Ella Award, and a Rob MacCachren's fire suit, and a dozen iconic off-road vehicles.

PARTING SHOT
One of these is not like the others: Mickey Thompson Challenger IV at the  La Jolla Concours d'Elegance
ORMHOF board member Rory Ward's Mickey Thompson Challenger IV has come a long way since he brought the chassis home on a trailer seven years ago.
as
Rory was recently invited to enter the Challenger IV in the prestigious Concours d'Elegance in La Jolla, California.
 as
"We finished 2nd in the race car division behind the 1963 Lola GT ... it was only worth around $10 million," Rory said. "We call that a win!"

On behalf of the entire board of directors, I would like to thank and
recognize these businesses and individuals for their support of the
Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.

We invite you to join this distinguished group.
