Volunteers of the Month
Rachel Stewart & Shannon Pivoney have been counseling our women and children through the UIS Human Development Counseling Program. 
 
Rachel is married to Ryan Stewart, has a 4 year-old son, Beckett and is expecting their second son, Thatcher, in October! They attend West Side Christian Church. She started volunteering at Contact Ministries through the counseling program and fell in love with the people and caring atmosphere! Her favorite thing about Contact Ministries is the sense of family. "Everyone wholeheartedly wants to help any way they can. It's amazing to be a part of!"
 
Shannon is married to Brandon. She chose to volunteer at Contact Ministries because the women served are some of the strongest and most resourceful women she has encountered. Shannon shared with us that the women and children are cared-for individuals through the genuine interactions she has seen between staff and those served. She feels blessed to be a part of their support system!

Thank you Capital City Car Club for donating this minivan at your 5th Annual Cars For Charity Event!! Our recipient was very grateful! This allows her to take her three disabled children to their doctors' appointments. Your generosity has helped to impact these lives for Christ!

Contact Ministries would like to thank Little Miss Olivia!! This amazing girl had a garage sale and with the proceeds bought food for our moms and children!! She also gifted the remaining profit as a monetary donation! We are so thankful Olivia!!!

 Hickman Heights Christian Church in Indiana teamed up with Sarah Lynch at Westside Christian Church to do urban missionary work in our community! Thank you for choosing Contact Ministries as one of your beneficiaries! We appreciate your help preparing for our Back to School Event, Childcare, and also cooking and enjoying lunch with our residents!!

A Special Appreciation to Kings Daughters!! They provide prescription assistance to clients age 55 and older who live in Sangamon County. We also want to say congratulations on your 125th Celebration!!

A huge thank you to Springfield's Rotary Club!! Your generous support will provide food for both our Emergency Shelter and our Transitional Shelter!! Nutritious food is a necessity at Contact Ministries.
