A Message from our Chapter President
December 2020
Greetings IREM West-Central MD Chapter 92 Family,

Happy Holidays! We have some important reminders and schedule updates to share with our Chapter Members and Industry Partners. Please watch the short video message below and review the information included in this email so you are up-to-speed!

IREM has so many resources and tools available to you. Please make sure you are checking our resource pages on irem92.org and on irem.org frequently for updates.

Important Updates:

Ongoing Items

  • Member Participation Forms 2021
  • Let us know where YOU can help serve IREM West-Central MD in the upcoming year. Fill out the form and submit to Jamie Carr so that you can join a chapter committee in the upcoming year.

  • School Supply Drive
  • Thank you to everyone who has already supported our School Supply Drive. School supplies are needed throughout the year, so it's not too late to show your support. Help our target school, South Lake Elementary, with supplies they need for virtual learning. Check out the Amazon Shopping List and purchase as few, or as many items as you can to help support those in need in Montgomery County. Click Here for more details.

  • Region 3 Fitness Challenge & IREM Foundation Fun Run
  • Thank you to everyone on Team IREM 92 for participating and getting in on this healthy, friendly online challenge. Team IREM 92 finished in second place in the region! Many members also took place in the IREM Foundation Fun Run. It was great to see so many people posting their pictures online and helping us raise funds for IREM education.

  • Toys For Tots Drive - show your support with a virtual donation
  • Thank you to everyone who has already supported our virtual toy drive. There is still time to make a donation! On a PC, follow the link listed below and click DONATE LOCAL button on the top right corner. Choose your donation amount. A local Toys For Tots Rep will be using the donation money collected to purchase toys and distribute to kids in need in our local area.

We will also have a Panel of Experts to discuss Hot Topics for our seasoned members. Stay tuned for more information in the New Year!

  • Virtual Q1 & Future Plans
  • As of now, we are planning for ALL virtual events in the first quarter. This will be a mix of Region 3 Education Courses, Professional Seminars, Chapter Programs, AND some FUN virtual networking events too. Although it is not the same as our in-person events, we are offering twice as many events now in the virtual format. We hope you can plan to join us for as many as possible!
  • We are hopeful that by Q2 we can start offering a mix of both in-person and virtual offerings to meet the needs and desires of all of our members. Hopefully as time passes in 2021 and we become a healthier nation, we can continue to offer more and more of our "normal' in-person events!
  • We are in this together! Normalcy will return and we thank you for staying with IREM as your resource leader to get you through this pandemic.
Many FREE resources are available to you through IREM. IREM is here to assist you through this time and always. Daily updates and new resources are constantly being added for our members to use at irem.org
You can also access most of these resources directly on our chapter website. In addition, our chapter’s recovery resource page features updates from our very own Industry Partners. Please keep all of our Industry Partners at the top of your list when you are looking for solutions to your needs during this time, and always.

One of the most powerful resources we have available for our property management members is that of IREM West-Central MD Industry Partners. Always reach out to our Industry Partners first when you need a bid on a project.

We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for your support of IREM throughout this unprecedented 2020. As we prepare to celebrate what may be a very different holiday season than previous years, we're reminded to pause, reflect, and count our blessings. 2020 has not been what any of us expected. We have faced unanticipated challenges, continuous changes, and hardships throughout the year. But please know your dedication and service has made a difference.

We want you to know how very thankful we are that you're a part of the IREM family and look forward to a brighter 2021! May your holidays be filled with joy and good cheer, and may the new year bring peace, good health, and happiness.

For questions regarding any of our upcoming events or chapter resources, please contact Jamie Carr.
