-End of Quarter 2: 
December 18th marks the end of the second quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. Teachers will be working to finalize grades for the nine weeks. Grade cards will be available electronically on PowerSchool on January 7, 2021. If you need support logging into PowerSchool, please call the office.

-Beginning of Quarter 3:
Remote learning for all students has been extended through January 8, 2021. Hybrid learning is scheduled to resume January 11, 2021.

Parent Communication


There are several ways to receive information about Schultz Elementary School and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:
  • District website - www.dcs.k12.oh.us
  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS, opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Schultz office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file 
  • Schultz E-Mail List:    to be redirected to the DCS website and sign up to receive Schultz and DCS newsletters, special bulletins and other important information from Schultz Elementary School (check spam folder first time receiving).

School Hours 
Elementary school hours are 8:30 am - 2:55 pm (new dismissal time)
The building opens at 8:00 am for breakfast
Students enter the building at 8:20 am
Tardy bell rings at 8:30 am

 Absence Reporting Procedure
Please call the Schultz office at 740-833-1400 to report your student's absence (the SafeArrival absence reporting system will not be used for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year).  If your child's absence is not reported by 9:00 am, you will receive a phone call from the school office.
