Take Action on County Operations Energy Strategy by July 5
|
Since early this year, the
Clean Energy for Fairfax Now Campaign
of the Great Falls Group has been involved in extensive advocacy on the draft Fairfax County Operational Energy Strategy released in February.
This Energy Strategy is crucial because it sets energy goals for the county in managing its own buildings, vehicles, and other operations. These include goals for renewable energy, energy efficiency, green buildings, electric vehicles, and electronic equipment.
|
|
Unfortunately, the Energy Strategy
— as
reviewed by County’s Environment Committee on June 12 and scheduled for a vote by the Board of Supervisors in July
—
is seriously flawed.
The Great Falls Group needs your help to advocate for improvements in this Energy Strategy
by July 8th! To find out how, click below:
And if you would like to
support further research or advocacy to promote aggressive county energy and climate strategies
please contact
Norbert
with the subject line "Energy Strategy".
Special Thanks to Debra Jacobson for continuing her extensive work on this project
