About 30 years ago I discovered a most exciting verse in Genesis 1:26 and 27. The Lord showed me we have dominion over animals, birds, fish, and every creeping thing! We are to "keep" (guard) our garden or territory! At this time as I discovered the verse, a plague of aphid bugs was covering our rose bushes and was intruding on our territory! The roses that lined the side of our home were so covered with the bugs that my white rosebuds looked green! I marched out there and read those bugs the passage from Genesis, giving them a choice to either leave our property or die! Then I went into the house. My husband Sonny had noticed them also and was prepared with his bug spray! "I'm ready to spray the aphids", he said. "Honey you won't need to do that, I already took care of it", and proceeded to tell him about my verse. "Okay, Babe let's go look", as he was not wanting to discourage me but not sure if it had been handled. As we went out we noticed all of the bugs were gone except for a few stubborn ones that were dead! I squealed and jumped up and down! Sonny laughed with delight in what had seemed a "crazy idea"!
I have seen God back up His Word time and time again with that wonderful scripture! Birds have even stopped pooping on our cars too. My daughter says there are a lot of constipated birds in our neighborhood!
Since becoming a widow, I've noticed scriptures God wants to back up concerning the widows' territory. One of my favorite verses is: "The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow." Pro 15:25 KJV And from the Holman Christian Standard translation, "The Lord destroys the house of the proud, but He protects the widow's territory." Oh, that is good!
I have known for over 18 years that God wants the widow to establish righteous borders in cities, states, and nations! It's His will that none should perish! It has been my quest to teach widows around the world how to declare the Word of God in line with Heaven so that territories are secure! Businesses have also benefitted by the widows praying over their territory! It's been amazing! But recently I came across another scripture showing me something so much deeper than aphids and birds! It's a foothold the enemy uses to keep territory!
In Amos 1:13 God speaks through the prophet Amos the sins of Ammon. One of them included abortion, "Because he ripped open the pregnant women...in order to extend his borders". He not only tells us his heart of love and compassion for the woman and her baby, but He also tells us why this was so wrong! The enemy uses this to establish his territory through this bloodshed! God is the author of LIFE and life is in the blood! (Lev 17:11, John 10:10)
The widows are part of the antidote! Oh my, Yes! If God hears our cry (Ex 22:23) and He will establish our territory (Pro 15:25), we can undo the plots of the enemy! We just simply agree with life in love and with compassion for the mother and her baby! We cancel a lie with truth! No wonder there is such hatred aroused in this issue in both those pro-choice and pro-life radicals! The issue is territory! God loves the baby, but He also loves the mother too! We don't put down the mother but love her and pray for her situation. Even after she may have fallen into this trap, God can restore her! She doesn't need judgment from us or acting proud thinking we are better. She needs His restoring love to secure her house (and through it, it will secure ours)!
In Matthew 25:32-46 the Lord is talking about gathering the nations. (What we do effects nations!) Through our acts of kindness motivated by love, He determines whether we really know Him and are experiencing Life. "Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
He is all about us agreeing with Him for territory! We do that by aligning with His Word and in walking in love! We are talking about something much greater than pooping birds and green bugs!
