Volunteers Make It A Good Meeting
Last Tuesday, during our AGM, the community was invited to hear updates from the organization, the financial statement was presented, and nominations for our new board members were accepted.

After the official part of the meeting was concluded, we also took a moment to recognize some of our volunteers.

This years distinguished volunteer award went to Carla Riley-Sloan. Carla has been a tireless Client Ambassador for United Way. Together with her service-St. Bernards, Carla has been able to help possible donors understand the impact their donation has. Thanks Carla, and congratulations!

Thank you to all those who came out to the meeting and for your on-going support.
It's A Big Deal

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada has provided mentoring programs for youth since 1912. They have continuously evolved with the times and remain just as relevant today. UWCA supports these programs in Ponoka, Stettler, Lacombe and Red Deer. A parent recently wrote a letter to BBBS Ponoka describing the impact the program has had on her family.

Leading the Way

This time of year the Resource Development Team is busy getting ready for the next campaign. One of the most important things they do is make sure the folks who will be leading the charge - the Campaign Cabinet - are onboard and ready to go.
