Financial Capability Month

April is National Financial Capability Month. Each week throughout April, FEMA’s Ready Campaign is hosting social media events to talk about planning, budgeting, saving money for disasters and emergencies and the importance of insurance coverage.
Oregon Post-Wildfire Flood Playbook released

The Oregon Post-Wildfire Flood Playbook serves as a guide to help local governments, emergency and floodplain managers, and mitigation planners address increased flood risk and debris flows that can occur after large wildfires, and may be a valuable resource to affected communities who need to navigate the complex web of federal and state programs and agencies.
Next Quarterly Emergency Management Meeting

The next Quarterly Emergency Management meeting will take place April 23, 2019, 9:00-11:30 a.m. at Gresham City Hall's Conference Center ( 1333 NW Eastman Pkwy, Gresham, OR 97030).

The Conference Planning Committee is soliciting submissions for first-rate presentations on the newest and best practices in all phases of emergency management. Please consider sharing your expertise and knowledge!

Upcoming TIP Training

The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) is recruiting volunteers in the
Multnomah, Clackamas and Clark
Counties to serve on their team.

What is a TIP volunteer?
TIP Volunteers are called by local police, fire, medical and hospital personnel to respond to scenes of sudden or unexpected death (natural, homicide, suicide, accidental, infant), industrial accidents, sexual assaults, violent crimes and other traumatic incidents to provide immediate emotional and practical support to families, friends, witnesses and victims.
