eGiving is Here!

On Sunday, April 7 you will find an E-aster egg in the pew! Look for a new card in the pew rack that says eGiving. (Pictured in this post,) This card has a square code on it (called a QR code) that you can scan using your smartphone camera to donate to CPC. (Some newer smartphone cameras have built-in scanners, but older phones will need a free QR reader from an app store.) The QR code is linked to a secure screen where you will find several options for giving to CPC (checking, savings, credit/debit card) and can select the frequency of your gift.

Don't carry cash for loose offering? Plans for summer travel? Forget to turn in your planned giving card? Now you can whip out your smartphone and use the QR code any time you want to have instant access to giving options at CPC.

If you have additional questions about eGiving, please contact Barbara Carew, CPC Finance Manager: [email protected], 919-467-8700.

CPC Blood Drive: Wednesday, May 1
2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Fellowship Hall

Registration is open for CPC's Wednesday, May 1 Blood Drive (in the Fellowship Hall from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), again using The Blood Connection as our blood services partner.

TBC's primary focus is on meeting the needs of the surrounding area, so CPC donors may count on making valuable contributions to their own community. Participants in the December, 2018, blood drive gave very positive feedback regarding their experience with TBC. In addition, CPC earns cash rewards for every usable unit donated. $420 was raised by our December Blood Drive, which was used for our Integrative Wellness Festival earlier this month.

Please click here to make your appointment on The Blood Connection's website. Or, you may go to thebloodconnection.org and look for the CPC Blood Drive via the zip code search.

If you prefer, you may sign up at the Blood Drive table in the Narthex following and between worship services on April 7, 14 and 28. You may also sign-up there to provide donations to the canteen or to volunteer to assist at the drive.

CPC blood drives are a wonderful tradition. A recent review revealed that from 2005 - 2018, CPC collected approximately 1170 units, or an average for 27 drives of 43 units. Thank you for your support of this important ministry!

If you have any questions about your eligibility to donate blood, please contact Blood Drive Committee members Deb Luckadoo, Carol Dietz, Janet Robinette or Mandy Nester.

Important news from your Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC)

We presented the completed Ministry Information Form (MIF) to the session Monday evening.  It was approved unanimously.  On Tuesday it was approved by the Presbytery of New Hope Commission on Ministry (COM).  We are in the process of uploading the MIF onto the Church Leadership Connection, so that we can start receiving Pastor Information Forms (PIF).  Then we will post the MIF on the CPC website, so that you can all read it.  This is an exciting time in the life of our church.
