Back to School & Back to the Office!

Did You Know?

Many Green Tips relating to the kids going back to school, are also great tips for the office!

Here are a few tips to get you thinking Green:

1. Get "new" clothing second hand. #ClothingSwap

Kids outgrow clothing quickly, and most adults get bored with their wardrobe in a few months, whether you're growing or not.

Consider swapping clothes with neighborhood families or offering up clothes you plan to get rid of to co-workers before donating them.

2. Inventory your supplies before purchasing more.

All of us have been there. We get to the store, and we aren't sure what we have at home for supplies, so we buy more and end up with double.

Next time you walk by the supply closet, take a picture of what you have. Save it to your notes in your phone, or email it to yourself, so you can find it quickly.

P.S. You can do this with the pantry and fridge as well!

3. Purchase Used Books

School books can get expensive. Seek out a secondhand bookstore or look online for a used book option. Most stores keep an inventory of their products, even if they are used, so call ahead and double check if they have your item. They may even hold it for you until you arrive.
