Volunteer of the Year
Congratulations to Ann Auld, Leigh's Volunteer of the Year: Ann has been volunteering since her now senior son entered school at Leigh. She is always available when a volunteer request is made whether it be membership registration, book room, or the numerous opportunities in the College & Career Center. Ann is also an extremely active parent with the Home and School Club and with PAPA.

Parent Education Speaker Series
Emotional Intelligence: More Important than GPA and SAT scores combined for your student's success

Decades of research point to emotional intelligence as the critical factor that sets star performers apart from the pack. Emotional Intelligence includes skills such as communicating and listening well, showing empathy, navigating conflicts or having a positive outlook. Emotional intelligence can be developed and learned at any age.
Teaching teens to understand and handle emotions improves mental health. Teens who received emotional intelligence training in school had improved scores on several measures of emotional well-being, including less anxiety, depression and social stress, according to a new study in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
This will be an interactive talk that will enable you to not only walk away with a clear understanding of emotional intelligence, but empowered with tools to start practicing the skills for yourself, and to support your child's social and emotional growth for a more successful and joyful life.

Grad Night Tickets
Grad Night at the Beach Boardwalk promises to be an unforgettable night for our seniors as they spend one last time together as a class. Ticket Price is $155.
Charter buses will collect the students from Leigh at 9:00 pm and return them by 3:00 am the next morning. This ultimate Graduation Party brings together the class of 2018 for a celebration of their four years together. Click here for more info and to purchase tickets.

It's time for some Spring Cleaning! Save your donations and bring them to the Leigh parking lot on Saturday, May 19th. 10am-4pm.
