Suzy Lamson and Glenn Shea, 
as well as New London's Poet Laureate Rhonda Ward

They will be sharing some of their literary pieces and relating what poetry is to them, the inspirations and ways to create poetry, and the revision process.

Suzy and Glenn will openly converse with the audience about the beauty
in reading, writing and creating poetry.

Free 40 Minute yoga for all ages!
Healthy snack provided after session.

Recommendations:
Attire can be athletic or loose comfortable clothing.
Yoga mat or thick padding for kneeling if needed.

Although children are encouraged to participate there will be an
optional activity table available while session occurs.

Note: There will be an optional 10-minute meditation after
practice for anyone interested.

Welcoming Refugees
with Start Fresh

Start Fresh will be presenting a 23 minute documentary on
the local efforts to welcome refugees to New London. 

 
Resettled is a movie produced by The Politic at Yale University.
The film centers around refugee experiences and the continuing efforts of resettlement and support services in New Haven.
 
Start Fresh has taken up the challenge and welcomed refugee families
to New London, and works together with the families that have
resettled in New London County. We will be welcoming more families
in 2018 and need your support to continue our work.

Volunteer MeetUps are held at St James Episcopal Church in New London
on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
