Preparations are Underway!
As part of its 125th Anniversary celebration, Princeton University Concerts welcomes Mo. Gustavo Dudamel, Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, and the world's leading proponent of El Sistema, as Artist-in-Residence.

In addition to conducting the orchestra and glee club, and curating three chamber concerts at the University, Mo. Dudamel will participate in a series of educational events, including a collaboration with Trenton Music Makers. Young players from Sistema-inspired programs all around state, and from Philadelphia and Baltimore, will join us and Mo. Dudamel for a two-day festival on April 27-28, 2019, with a final concert open to the public. Mark your calendar and stay tuned.

Meanwhile: Please Join Us May 24!

Trenton Music Makers Orchestra's final public concert of the year will take place on Thursday, May 24, 5pm, in the Auditorium of Dunn Middle School. Our kids have so much to celebrate this year, and we'd love for you to be a part of it.

Dunn School is located on Dayton Street at Lalor, in Trenton. There is ample parking in the lot behind the school, or on the neighborhood streets surrounding it.
Guest Artist Tim Urban Introduces Music for the Very Young Students to the Brass Family
Throughout the month of May, our friend Tim Urban is visiting our partner preschools during music class, and giving them a close-up introduction to the instruments of the brass family. The tuba is bigger than some of our kids! That doesn't scare them, though. To share the fun of discovery with them,

And finally, April highlights:
Our Section Leaders play as guests of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra

Together with players selected from our friends in other El Sistema New Jersey Alliance programs, five of our most dedicated and accomplished players were guests of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. They celebrated Leonard Bernstein's 100th Birthday with an arrangement of "Somewhere (A Place For Us)," created in collaboration between Mo. Bernstein's children and El Sistema USA. To enjoy a short video from their rehearsal,

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support this year.
